Pansy Pullen Obituary

Pansy Pullen peacefully departed this life on February 07, 2021.

Pansy was born to the late Lucrecie and Frank Early. Pansy was born and raised in Newberry South Carolina. She moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey when she was 14 years old. Pansy attended the Elizabeth Public School System.

Pansy was employed by the Howard Saving Institute in Newark New Jersey for 25 years. She retired in 1987. After a year of retirement Pansy missed the need to dress up and decided to return to the workforce. She was employed by the Union County Social Services Department in Plainfield, NJ. After 10 years of service she retired again and placed herself in position of Caretaker. She took care of her granddaughter Jacquetta after she lost her mother Jacqueline.

Pansy was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Elizabeth. She was a dedicated mother first and far most, she especially loved the role as Nana. She became a (Pitbull) if you messed with any one of her babies.

Pansy was an excellent cook and if you came to her house hungry everybody ate, even if it meant she didn’t have dinner. She cared for everyone who walked through her door. She was always helping somebody until they got on their feet.

She was known for her cross-word puzzles (eventually started to do them in ink). Stepping out classy at every event with her head held high.

She was preceded by her husband Jacob Pullen, parents Lucrecie and Frank, son Lawrence, daughter Jacqueline, son–in-law Charles and sister Dorothy Reid.

She is survived by her son Dwight (Betty) of Elizabeth, daughters Lorraine of Piscataway, Pamela of North Plainfield, Donna (Bobby) of Piscataway, godson Kelly Reid of Wilmington, grandchildren Dwayne, Dawn, Lamont, Lamar, Kimberley, Tishanna, Jacquetta, Zakiel, greatgrandchildren, Denise, Janaya, Jarvis, Amaya (her sunshine) Jayden, Madison, Eli (her man), Juayre Jr. and a host of other loving relatives and friends who will carry and cherish her memory in their hearts.

A forever loving relationship with the Saxton family.
