Maurice Murchison

Former Elizabeth resident, Maurice Murchison received his wings on November 16, 2020. Maurice was born  July 10, 1973, to parents Pandora and Eugine Murchison. Maurice was a person who enjoyed being around his family and friends.

He attended Elizabeth High School, and shortly after receiving his high school diploma, he joined the work force. At the time of his passing, he was gainfully employed at Shoprite of Linden New Jersey, where he did his job, and did it well. Maurice enjoyed what he did, but more importantly, he enjoyed being with his peers and of course, his family. At heart, Maurice was a big kid full of love, laughter, and a toothy smile. His favorite pastime was playing his video game systems, which provided hours of joy and entertainment.

Simply put, Maurice loved life. Though his life would seem to short to many, those who were touch by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.

Maurice is survived by: his father, Eugine Murchison; Brothers: James Clinton Meyers, Germaine Murchison; Sisters: Marcia McGowan and Naya Paterson, several nieces and nephews, and special friend: Andrea Jones. Maurice was predeceased in death by his mother, Pandora Murchison.
