Reflections of Life
George Vincent Parker Jr. “Vent” was born on January 13,1956 in Brooklyn, NY to George Parker Sr. and the late Flossie M. Parker. He was the third of five children. Vent accepted Christ into his life at an early age in the New Salem C.M.E. Church in Benevolence, Georgia. He was educated in the public school system in Randolph County and graduated from Henderson High School in 1974. Soon after he graduated from high school, Vent moved to New Jersey where he worked with his Uncle Buddy as a Trucking Operator Assistant with Allied Van Lines.
Vent loved football and was an excellent saxophone player.
On Sunday, August 30, 2020, George Vincent Parker Jr. passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior to join his previously deceased loved ones in heaven.
He is proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Flossie M. Parker; his sister, Audrey E. Parker and his grandmother, Essie B. Clark who was instrumental in nurturing him.
Vent leaves to cherish his loving memories, Faith Thomas his devoted companion. His children and grandchildren that he loved and adored; his brother, Andrew V. Parker of McDonough, GA; his sisters, Shirley “Penny” Johnson-Webb (William) of Alexandria, VA, and Angela B. Parker of Forest Park, GA. He also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
